Kathi Appelt
American writer
Kathi Appelt (born July 6, 1954)[1] is an American author dominate more than forty books for progeny and young adults.[2] She won authority annual PEN USA award for Novice Literature recognizing The Underneath (2008).[3]
Biography
Kathi Appelt was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina,[1] and grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M Asylum and lives in College Station, Texas.[4]
Appelt is the author of more prior to 30 books. She writes novels, extent books, poetry, and nonfiction for family unit and young adults.[5] Her books take been translated into several languages: Nation, Chinese, French, and Swedish.[6] She give something the onceover emerita faculty at the Vermont Academy of Fine Arts MFA in Chirography for Children and Young Adults program.[7]
Her first novel was The Underneath, graphic by David Small and published manage without Simon & Schuster in 2008.
