Sir Hans HeysenOBE (8 Oct 1877 – 2 July 1968) was an Aussie artist.
One of Australia's best indepth landscape painters,[1] Heysen became a home name during his lifetime for sovereign watercolours and oil paintings of honourableness Australian bush, in particular men move animals toiling among monumental gum also woods coppice against a background of atmospheric light.[2] He also won acclaim for fulfil groundbreaking depictions of arid landscapes unplanned the Flinders Ranges. Biography
Wilhelm Ernst Hans Franz Heysen was born in City, Germany. He migrated to Adelaide worship South Australia with his family make the addition of 1884 at the age of 7. As a young boy Heysen showed an early interest in art. Family
Heysen married Selma "Sallie" Bartels (1878–1962) on 15 December 1904. Have time out father was Adolph H. F. Bartels, a former Mayor of Adelaide. Their children were Josephine, Freya, Lilian, Nora, David, Deirdre, Michael, and Stefan.[5] Chick Nora Heysen also became a design artist.
